Is it? She’s been shown to be a very impulsive, playful, non-self conscious, and even innocent personality; then add in the likely encouragement from her father to not be mindful of clothes and… well, I could see a situation like this being more likely than not.
Her father *knows* what he’s been doing… and what would happen if it became public knowledge. He absolutely would have made sure Talitha knew enough to not call attention to herself outside the house.
Talitha has the affect of a much younger child than she is. That bespeaks a problem much deeper than the fact of her abuse.
being stunted is very common of abuse victims, especially when their parent is a pederfile like her dad. Assailants who groom their children typically like keeping them a young mental age because it’s
a. easier to control the kid.
b. more “”attractive””” to the sicko who likes young children. if they grow up, even mentally, they can lose some of their “””appeal.”””
unfortunately I know from experience. I personally matured faster because of it, but my sister still acts like she’s a child, and she’s 31.
That was honestly one of the most interesting things I’ve read in a long time.
The sad part is, there’s entire communities around the world dedicated to protecting this kind of behaviour. The world needs more saints like Flora.
To sum it all up, I’ll throw in an appropriate quote:
“What some people won’t do…”
I think this is one of our really solid first indicators that there is something *seriously* wrong with Talitha. I mean, beyond the normal affects of her abuse. Many kids who are abused learn to abuse others (as she did with Hunter), but it’s to be expected. That’s why she wasn’t left with the boys. This? She’s nearly six. That’s way older than most kids would realize that, even if you enjoy being naked, you don’t do it *outside*. I’ve thought before that Talitha acts far younger than nearly six. She acts younger even than Hunter, to be honest. That’s… Read more »

I wonder–did we know where she lived before?
For example, if she actually lived out in the middle of no where, then it might have been that she was allowed to go outside with nothing on, and this was part of her normal.

Oh Dear GAWD….
Yup. Pretty much my thought, too.
There she goes!
Tali!
Forts she’s young ’nuff to not get in (much)trouble over it, and CPS knows she gots the issues already.
That seems a little TOO naïve behavior on the part of Talitha!
