I think many of my misgivings are due to Tali being so broken and unaware of it, but I think that what is here and going on may be the best way to reach her and it would seem that she’s taken the first steps to undoing years of abuse.
Looks like she might not have to travel that journey alone so long as she has friends and there is hope…
I concur, Once knowledge of something is obtained, it can’t be forgotten. But, and this is my hope, it can be expounded upon. Hopefully we see Tali become more aware and empathic to others and how she can best navigate things as a healthy individual.

And there goes Kaleb, being MVP again. Just like he was last night (story wise) at Colin’s and helping get the ball rolling when Hunter was too indecisive about what to do. The kid’s a lot smarter than he lets on.
Tali might not happy about the turn of events, but she at least understands what he’s saying and where he’s coming from.

This is sweet (although given what she’s been through wouldn’t Tali know how to actually French kiss?). I do feel bad for them though. They’re both in big trouble when Flora finds them in the morning. Also I know Kaleb is really still interested in Beth-Anne, so he’s not doing stuff with Tali cause he actually feels a commitment to her. While I’m aware that sexual contact doesn’t require a romantic connection, I still feel like Tali (who was obviously jealous of Beth) will probably be hurt and confused when Kaleb goes right back to bestowing his affections on the… Read more »
Except that they’re still minors, and don’t have the same knowledge and judgement as an adult when it comes to relationships.
And the fact that Tali still has a twisted view about sex and relationships (thanks to her father) doesn’t help.
Flora is a reasonable person; she probably won’t jump to conclusions just by seeing them in bed together. And if she does, Kaleb could just explain nothing happened.
Good job, Kaleb, you’re helping her understand limits and boundaries and showing her that affection can be non-sexually, too. I feel like Kaleb is good at handling people, just like his mother.
On another note, I couldn’t help laughing at the “sorry if I get hard and poke you in the butt” line.

Curiosity satisfied with gentle reciprocity and mutual respect, and now to sleep. Kaleb is an excellent mentor!

It also helps that she is still so young. It’s easier to unlearn things at that age.
You don’t “unlearn”, you learn to be better and aware of what happened.

Well somethings happened, but not the thing that might be assumed…
this this chapter, Kaleb continues to prove that he is way more perceptive than I think a lof of us give him credit for.
like, I don’t think he’s completly selfless in all this, but there’s a lot of strategy involved here.

Ok, phew! I thought for a minute she’d hoodwinked him. Looks like Caleb’s got this under control. Solid kid.
