Yup, he’s smitten.
I could tell a couple of pages ago. It was the way he did everything he could think of to make Beth-Anne feel comfortable and the way he would smile at her.
Oh, yeah, but now his whole face knows.
That’s true. He wasn’t fond of Tanya but, she was a bit overbearing; however, Beth-Anne is a quiet girl who isn’t even remotely as imposing. Kaleb’s ancestry would make him like this kind of girl.

I am reminded of a Spider Man comic from years ago where he goes into a rough bar, and after walloping several toughs, grabs the bartender and asks if he can tell him where the person he is looking for is, or “do I dance the hustle in your face?” Of course the bartender tells Spider Man where the person is.
I notice he only promised to not stare, a peek isn’t a stare after all.
If Kaleb isn’t crushing on Beth then he’s a born therapist. Like Flora his empathy is strong and perceptive.
