I doubt it. From my experience, cops and the police in general are useless when it comes to these sort of things. Unless it’s happening right in front of them, they won’t do anything or look too much into it. He’ll take a statement, say he’ll look into it, then as soon as he gets back to the station he’s gonna toss those notes in the trash and get back to the paperwork he was doing before he was called out. Or, just as likely, he’ll continue to assume Benni did it despite what Kaleb, Colin, and damn near everybody… Read more »
Yeah…. Not sure where YOU live, and/or if you’re speaking from personal experience or not, but in the various places I’ve lived (and specifically places where this has actually *happened* ), If a pre-adolescent girl was raped and hospitalized after school, and public officials did nothing at all about it, the residents would be getting ready to HANG motherfuckers. . As far as the comic story, we’ve already seen that the local DA, Social Services, and police are being mostly sympathetic in spite of the problems Benni has given them. I doubt very much Campion is looking to make a… Read more »
That may be so but you got multuple witnesses and the names of the boys. Even knows the name of everyone in the instance. Whether the boy has had a rough life or not there is too much evidence that not only prove his innocence (even if the cop wanted to place the boy as an antagonist) but to capture the real culprits.
Colin’s got this. And it’s good for Benni to see and hear that as well.
And another fantastic job on the lighting effects, Mr. Campion!

I’ve seen justice go both ways, very well, and very poorly. I was driving and got pulled over. Suddenly I was surrounded by six armed police with drawn weapons pointed at me. I was cooperative, … And still, I was handcuffed and booked, but I was always treated with respect and consideration. Note: treated with consideration– that I might not be guilty, but they wanted me (or thought they did) and they had me, and there was no trouble. That was a long (long) time ago. Now, it seems the police are trigger happy, assume that you are guilty, and… Read more »
Of course being so old that any hair left is white, gives you a u an advantage in a interaction, still, the police are always polite and friendly with me….? Maybe bacause I’m not nervous or jumpy when they inteact with me? I dunno, but the media and my personal histories do not tally or corroborate.

*Sighs* I just KNEW Benni was gonna get blamed first hand! I bet he’s not gonna believe anything said…
Based on experience, I guess it was inevitable for the cop to jump to a conclusion… but fortunately Colin is there to set things straight.

“My 12 year old daughter was raped”
“Go on”
Yep, totally normal response to a 12 year old being raped…. I really hope this isn’t a realistic representation of police.
Nine. Tanya is nine.
