For some reason when I type in the comment box it is not visible on-screen.
I had to go to a public comp to type this.
Anybody have any idea what might be wrong? Google isn’t rendering up any answers.
That… is weird. It must be a filter thing.
Are you posting while logged out? I think that’s the issue.
It was doing it to me as well while logged in. Seems to be working fine now, though.
It’s an issue with the rich text box. When logged in, it’s fine. When not logged in (regardless of browser) it blocks the box, so it’s definitely a setting. The question is… what setting?
And… it’s fixed!

Also, I couldn’t say before, but it was while I was logged in. In fact I logged out and back in to make sure of it
I’m not sure what the idea of the animation is. Colin may not be a genius, but he’s not Homer Simpson stupid.
I was trying to post something… *anything* to find out what was wrong.
As far as I could tell the problem was at my end.
If I delete it now, I’m pretty sure the whole thread beneath will vanish

The conundrum of every parent:
Trying to discourage a behavior which you know *shouldn’t* happen (yet) while knowing there’s absolutely nothing you can do to prevent it if the kids are determined.
At this point Colin’s best bet/hope is to sit Tanya and Benni down outside earshot of Hunter, explain the situation to them, acknowledge that there’s nothing he can do to actually stop them if they choose to proceed, and simply ask them to please not proceed even if it seems tempting to do.
Because of course kids listen to reason. 😉
What other choice does he have but try?
Kids sometimes do, if the parent is convincing enough.

Well, pretty sure it was said before that the different species can’t interbreed. It was Flora concerned that she couldn’t have kits with Colin IIRC?
Going by that premise, nobody’s going to get *pregnant*, anyway.
But there’s more to the issue than pregnancy… there’s reasons kits shouldn’t be having sex at their age.
“Shouldn’t” but often do… I think the “shouldn’t” part is… less important(?) dampened(?) when all parties are well informed and educated about sex, the possible consequences, the social ramifications, that it and their bodies are not evil or bad or mysterious, etc. I know that might sound a bit weird to say this, but, well, I wasn’t much older than bennie when I got introduced to the “way things are” and while I dont’ think it harmed me, I also had a self-learned pretty good grasp on the previously mentioned caveats already. It’s nice that Benni is being taken into consideration, as well as his background in this situation.
It’s good to know that Flora and Colin are on the ball about the situation. The best thing here would be for the two of them to talk to Tanya and Benni about all this; Benni, given his history, is used to just letting people do whatever they want to him and while he’s learning that that isn’t okay, it takes time to get past that kind of grooming. That’s a good idea for them to have a talk with Bennie about his body and boundaries, but at the same time… he may genuinely enjoy the sexual contact, because, lets face it, it feels good and is fun. The glitch here is getting him to understand that he has a say in whether or not he’s touched, and that he SHOULD say “no, thank you” more, even if he does kind of want it to happen. As a kit, you’re right and that, of course, further erodes the “it’s your body, it’s your choice” idea.
At least the philosophy can be supported where it can be applied outside of well-being, and doing things one likes that don’t actually harm you?
Well, it’s a hard arguement to make AGAINST allowing it.
Didn’t Benni at one time say he objected to the idea of doing anything more with Tali because he didn’t want to do that sort of stuff anymore?
And with Benni saying Tanya is like his sister, he might really have no interest in doing such things with her.
Time will tell. We’ll just have to wait and see.
