If nothing else at least Tanya’s found a reprieve from the discomfort she’s been experiencing the last couple of weeks from having to detail what she went through. And she’s got a nice big brother who understands what she went through because he’s been there himself, so at least she’s not alone.
Honestly that may be why she’s perked up so much, so quickly. The nakedness is just the edge frosting on the cake.

Yes, it’s just that the “Discomfort” issue is a very new thing.
She came into the series as a tomboy who doesn’t like wearing dresses (to school. she doesn’t wear one anywhere else).
It’s an annoyance. But she hasn’t shown she’s uncomfortable with her own body until the rape, which was literally yesterday.

Keep in mind she also sees Bennie with a new light as a rescuer instead of an enemy AND that he’s extremely comfortable with himself and his nudity despite the fact he’s gone through the same thing she has and worse…
Maybe she sees nudity as a way of compensating? Perhaps figuring out his secret to being “ok” with what’s happened to him and thus her with herself?

I find it so adorable (and wholesome) that Tanya is calling Benni a Dork now. You know they’re going to be long time great friends.
Very adorable and wholesome indeed. The fact Tanya even wants to take her clothes off after what she just went through, and in the company of a boy, helps suggest the trauma she experienced doesn’t have a complete stranglehold over her.
I think so too. But I also think that she’ll have good times and bad times as she thinks about it. I do think that Benni will be able to help her out during those bad times. Like you said in your post above, he knows what she’s going through.
Benni would probably get the idea that the two of them should keep their clothes on, simply because he might fear the adults seeing them both naked might get the wrong idea.
True, that is possible. Whatever happens, lets hope it doesn’t get them into too much trouble.
