At first, I thought Tanya would say “Because I thought you’d know my problem better if I showed you the damage” after Flora asked her why she’s displaying to her.
I’m not that surprised she went the route she did; Tanya’s a tough kid and I suspect her personality is such where she often puts on a front to try and not look like she’s vulnerable, even if she was called out for “showing off”. So, while there may have been some (or mainly) underlying “hey, if she sees it and something is wrong she might say something” mindset as possibly hinted at by the “I was curious to see what you’d say about it” but I think her pride and “tomboy” side was not willing to admit that openly,… Read more »
I do indeed, but her own youth coupled with Benni and now Talitha, nothing shocks her. Then again I’m still of the mind that fur would provide enough for modesty’s sake with clothing being an affectation to mimic their creators even more. But that last part is just me.
Um, you can see genitals on real animals despite their fur, or even thick fur, or feathers or whatever covering they have. And the characters here have very obvious human-like genitals. And clothing isn’t just decorative like on many funny animal comics, it’s for protection. Even real animals sometimes have to wear doggy sweaters.
As Campy is drawing the characters with human configured genitalia, I’ll concede that males may require clothing for coverage and/or concealment due to bulgy and danglie bits, but unless there are more human aspects to the psyche and mental composition of the characters, the only visual sexual trigger (one that humans also exhibit) is an interest and attraction to symmetry which indicates good genetics and desirable breeding partners. Most animals, and humans to a degree, are triggered by scent. Again, we need Mr. Campion to answer that one, or table it for a forum subject of debate. Now, as for… Read more »
Perhaps the strip might eventually deal with that question, but I certainly don’t believe that the animal characters wear clothes simply because humans did.
Possibly! Then again, custom becomes a hell of an impetus for certain things that evolve into customs, and those are dreadfully hard ruts to break out of.

I don’t want to say that I’m excited about the prospect of Tanya being naked, because that’s just creepy. But the fact she’s asking questions and apparently willing to even consider doing such suggests this is a good thing for her. What she’s gone through hasn’t completely broken her like it has others.
Also, why do I detect a hint of trollery when I read Flora in this page?
Talking about clothes, I’m curious now, how the clothes and the tails are working here? I mean how they are taking on their clothes like jeans or other closed clothes like one-piece swimsuit with having different kinds of tails?
“My kits come first.” is absolutely the right answer and outlook for any parent that loves their kids. And it’s so warm and happy that she includes all of Colin’s kits as ‘hers’ even though they’ve barely begun dating. I foresee them cohabitating far sooner than they expect, if not outright saying ‘screw it’ and getting married because they’re obviously twitterpated with each other.

Typical preteen testing boundaries, it seems. And silly little vixen. Very little actually shocks Flora anymore where nudity is involved.
She grew up among hippies, remember?

The tail slips through a hole in the bottoms, like you can see from Benni’s bloody underwear – that was just under the tailhole.
