Despite all the hype, the reality is that school shootings, or mass shootings in general, are extremely rare. Children have far more to fear outside of school than in it. And child molesting, either by family members or strangers, is far more common now as it was years ago.
As for porn, it’s basically all wish fulfillment fantasy. Very few women are lesbian or bisexual, and VD and pregnancy are ignored in sexual fantasies. Also sex isn’t as wonderful as all that.
Indeed. If you listen to the mainstream media and political fearmongers, you’d think school shootings are happening every single day in the vast majority of schools. That’s just not the case. And the term is being greatly watered down and exploited to include law enforcement incidents that occur, not actually ON the school grounds themselves, but within the 1,000 area around the actual school.
As for the molestation issue, is it really more common now than it was? Or is it just getting talked about more often than it did?

Chat GPT is obviously not a reliable source. It seems that school shootings are mostly by people with no connections to said schools, just by lunatics knowing perfectly well that by doing so they get their names and faces in the news media. There are plenty of violence attempts that never make the news because they are stopped too soon.
Chat GPT is a useless source of unreliable information. We just got done explaining how the term “school shooting” has been exploited and misused to include incidents that didn’t even occur anywhere near an actual school. A self defense shooting at the grocery store some 800 feet away from the school building is counted as a school shooting.
The only way to bring the number down is to demand the exercising of honesty in statistics, not sensationalism to put a political narrative.
I’m the same way; I generally prefer the homemade stuff to the professional stuff as the homemade ones feel more like real people than professional.
Yep. Call me a new age sensitive man (or something else designed to be insulting to my sense of masculinity) but I prefer my porn to have actual emotional connection to it. And why not? Most people connect more strongly to movies/books with strong emotional arcs. So the same could also be true of porn. There are still plenty of people who just wanna see some impossibly large boobed lady make ridiculous sex noises, but I don’t see why I should be forced to watch bad acting, when I can watch real people.
Even if I do prefer homemade stuff as well, it’s better to teach basic sex education to kids than allowing them to watch porn. Besides it’s not meant for minors (mainly for legal reasons), one must have enough discernment and be able to tell the difference between reality and fantasy. Both Benny and Tanya still have a lot to learn (besides being mentally damaged), so good thing that Colin told them that porn isn’t precisely for educational purposes. Point 1 Totally agree that kids should be taught by real people who can actually sit them down and have a proper conversation with them. The unfortunate thing is that many times schools and even some parents, don’t actually teach their kids anything. They just preach a bunch of shit about abstinence only. Possible but not necessarily; there isn’t a lot of data about abused kids later in life; the relation isn’t clear. So many abusers were themselves abused as kids that most researchers are tempted to say it’s close to universal; that at least is clear from available data. What’s not clear is the correlation. It isn’t known how many abused kids *don’t* become abusers. I personally know three different people who were physically and/or sexually abused as kids. So the act was Benni’s idea? That what I figured since I doubt Tanya would know about that at her age. It’s good that Colin is explaining that porn isn’t the most reliable way to learn about sex. there are a lot of kids who have porn as their first experience of sexuality and it leaves them with wrong ideas and some idealized view of sex.

The sex wasn’t explicitly shown, but Benny said to Flora in the “Motherly” chapter that he was forced to have sex with Tali by both Ty and Ray (according to him, the latter “didn’t fit”). As for Tali’s hymen, the doctor mentioned in “Flash-lit” (from previous chapter) that it’s already torn.
