Colin: Pardon me, ma’am, but my daughter finally woke up, and I was hoping a nurse was available to help.
Clerk: What's her room number?
Colin: Room 110.
Clerk: Okay, sir. Her nurse is on break. we’ll let her know as soon as she’s back.
Colin: Great, thanks!
Colin: Now to get the boys.
Colin: Hmmm?
Talitha: ...And Kan-ni look-ted up-on the table and saw al’la the plates start to shake an’ shiver as they standed up.
Kaleb: Yeah! You got it!

I remember when I was starting to read…
Don’t tell us that you are so old that you read those books the kind with pages that you turned!
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Do not mock us, Kindl and i-Pad generation. When the power goes out, we still read away. Of course that was back before skate boards. Back when you were allowed to ride your eaohippus to school, before the last ice age.
I remember reading “Fun with Dick and Jane”. Is that far enough back? LOL
You too?
Those were the good ‘ole days
I received the books of Dr. Seuss.
When I was starting, he hadn’t written them yet. Didn’t have Dick and Jane, but we had Kim, Wendy, and their dog Tyke. It was a long time ago. I r meber getting yelled at for spelling things the Brittish way, school was hard. It was a long time ago.
Daddy said it was a shame we left the savannah for the city, but great-grand-Dad said we should never have grown legs and left the oceans.

i really enjoy and love your comic , but at th moment i think the pace is too slow
I’m not in a hurry to have everything resolved… I want to enjoy the nuances that are put into the story by our intrepid Mr. Rodrigues. It’s not all happy, but it kinda deals with the stuff I have to deal with. Students who’ve been dealt a poor hand; no aces, no wild cards, but they keep making the most of the cards they do have.
Maybe it’s just me, but I get the idea that maybe Colin is seeing what could be a family that he’ll be part of in the future. And now the ‘Brady Bunch’ theme is stuck in my head, damn it…
I know, it’s best case scenario, but after my service and the things that I’ve seen I tend to hope for the best outcomes. I don’t expect them, but I do hope for them. What is there worth living for more than hope for a brighter future and better things for our children and working to make that so?
Ironically, I recently read Florence Henderson’s autobiography “Life Is Not A Stage”. She was of course not just the mother of the Brady Household.
No…no she wasn’t… <.<
But she was SO hip as Carol Brady!
Poor Benni, he’s all torn up about what happened to Tanya and what he did to Jestan. I hope that both Colin and Flora can help him through this. Not to mention Kaleb and Tanya consoling him as well.
Considering what he had to deal with when he messed up and his dad found out, I’ll bet he’s scared he’ll be put in jail, or beaten, or both. He has always been a good hearted furrson, only with too little hope and too much pain. He lashed out and was mean, emulating his dad, but his heart was never in it. But he has always had a fear based mind. And it tears him up, that he had to hurt those punks, and he did it to save Tanya, but he did it in anger. He’s so scared a… Read more »
