Looking at the fox Attourney in the last panel, his nose is a lot sharper than Colin’s, Tanya’s and Hunter’s, all of whom have quite a wide nose. Much wider that most foxes.
This is such an interesting panel. The first 4 frames feel like things happening concurrently, but the last frame… Court cases take ages to resolve… is this a ‘time passes’ montage? Exciting times anyway!
Depending on the jurisdiction, the justice system has up to 72 hours to have an arraignment hearing. Sometimes less. Sometimes, a LOT less. And sometimes, they have to let the defendant go if they are not arraigned within a certain time window. It really is a mixed bag. Think of most arraignment sessions like “Night Court,” except instead of your random bunch of yokels passing through to pay a traffic ticket, it’s a stream of people coming through to make their pleas.
In general when someone is arrested for a felony offense, they must be arraigned (officially charged before a judge) within 48 hours or released. At the arraignment the defendant will enter their plea, guilty or not guilty.
Ray has obviously decided to play ball. They certainly have enough direct evidence to convict him.
Most of my experience with the legal system has been quite lengthy, but I guess it would make sense, especially in cases where the defendant is sitting in a jail cell. Thanks for clarifying this!
(also, whew. a huge time skip would have felt odd right here!)
Whoa, I wasn’t expecting what happened in the last panel. But I guess that’s good; it spares Talitha having to testify. I’m curious, though, about Talitha’s mom? I know she got remarried and she’s on her honeymoon, but has anyone informed her of any of this? And what will happen when she gets back? I know Flora is fostering her, but Talitha’s mom will probably get her back once she returns, right?

For the love of mic, do the right thing racoon whom’s name I forgot.
What would the right thing be? Mentioning other people who were involved in having sex with minors? He would have reason to fear assassination if the wrong people were mentioned.
I could go into a pages-long spiel detailing why the Public has that shit all wrong, but given that Paterno is dead and his family is suing the University (I live about 20 minutes away)… why bother.
I will say, don”t ever trust the media to get the story right.
I am well aware that you don’t have to be a Trump supporter to know that there really is fake news. The worst example being the story about the MacMartin Preschool supposedly being a den of child molesting and devil worship, which was a lie told by an insane woman and an unscrupulous district attorney told kids to lie about it happening. Another was when Dan Rather put out a deliberately phony story about George W. Bush supposedly being AWOL during his National Guard service. He was caught out by bloggers and CBS had to dismiss him. Even the late… Read more »

Good Luck, Ray…
And don’t bend over for the soap.
Okay, one suspicion confirmed.

It’s pretty obvious that it’s a family trait.
Red fox families do look different from each other. One that lives halfway between my sister’s house and mine do not have dark paws.
he did the right thing hopefully this will bring others to justice for their crimes
Did the right thing? I assume it was a case of his having no choice.
I hope he will. Hope.

Oh! Valid! Thank you for the reply, by the way 🙂

With apologies to Ludacris:
“My coach bad, my coach hood, my coach turned a blind eye like I knew he would…”
The reference is to Papa Joe Paterno, whom some say was unfairly blamed for not reporting his assistant coach’s child molesting to the police.
