I wonder if some of the kits/families that Beth-Anne met (from the boys who touched her to Jestan and his parents) are part of the pedo ring*.
*= or victims of it, in the kits’ case.
This is why Flora might be a foster mom for abused kits, she has a way of getting them to open up by just being kind and gentle. I think the gravity of what Jestan did is starting to dawn on Beth-Anne and she is thinking that it’s her fault that Jestan raped Tanya. She didn’t tell him to do that, in fact she tried to stop him knowing that he was going too far and she is afraid that KPS will blame her fully for what happened. That’s true. Of course, it helps that she was abused when she was a kit, too. I guess you could call it empathy.
Negative things happen to everyone. It’s a mark of character and resilience on using said negatives for an eventual positive outcome. This is why the greatest of people tend to come from rather dreadful circumstances.

Poor girl. I kind of wish she could just stay with Flora, but she’s got a full plate with everything else going on.
One can hope, but Flora also has the ear of the agency folk, so that might factor in as well.
