I’m glad to see this character development between the two. Some bonding is just what these two need.
Tanya is starting to realize that she wasn’t the angel she thought she was
But Benni was certainly no hero at the beginning of the story. He was a bully who beat up Flora’s son and caused him serious head injuries. It was only when Flora took him in anyway that Benni started changing.
That all it takes.
Taking one out of a hostile environment (home) and into a kinder/loving one and will change. It may not be overnight and it does take some time for it to happen but it does.
In this case it’s literally been around a week to ten days.
Benny would probably be a BEAST at soccer, if he ever learns to play.
