Kaleb is asking a lot of rather, uh, embarrassing questions. I can see that, despite her openness about the subject, even Flora is starting to become a bit embarrassed by the questions. The looks on her face that Campion gave her are perfect for portraying this. She, obviously, doesn’t want to leave any questions unanswered but she also seems to be wondering if she’s in over her head. The look on her face in the last panel tells me that. Oh! I also wonder how all this information will affect Beth-Anne. Being an o’possum, she’s a marsupial and, while some… Read more »
Well, true but, they are birthed after only about two or three weeks while the infant is very underdeveloped. I don’t know much about marsupial anatomy but, I’m not sure they even have a placenta and even the marsupial uterus if likely vestigial at best which is why the pouch is so important. Of course, all of this I’m saying could just be me talking through my hat. LOL.
Yeah. I’ve seen those photos as well as a few videos of the fetus making that climb. It’s said that about 25% of them fall off and can’t be saved by the mother.
So, are you saying that you think that “marsupials” in this world are placental rather than marsupial? Of course, that could also explain why she’s capable of sexual relations with her “brother”.
For the record while Flora is doing great it would be better to tell the kids that the term they suggested (squirt and cum) mean the same thing as ejaculate, but that the proper word she wants them to use is ejaculate. Otherwise the kids may think that the thing they are thinking of and the word Flora used are two different things. Best to head off those confusions, and explain why the other words aren’t as good, specifically that cum is considered vulgar slang.

There is a small missing element in panel 5 that’s supposed to link Flora’s first word bubble to the second.
Campion is aware that it is missing and cannot fix it right now. This will be corrected next week and he thanks you for your patience!
Now that you’ve mentioned it, I see it. LOL.
anyone else pick up on the fact Flora referred to Colin as their dad and she’s sounding more and more motherly to them with every passing moment
It’s only a matter of time before one of the boys unconsciously calls Colin “Dad” and not realizing it until after it’s already happened.
I think after this session that Flora will have earned a glass or four of wine as she’s taking on the brunt of the discussion.
…then again, one glass of wine sort of did her in…

I thought the idea with marsupials is that the main difference is the pouch as the place where babies develop, and later nurse.

I saw a book on kangaroos where a maggot-like joey is shown in a series of photographs climbing from the mother’s vagina into her pouch.

In this world that would hardly be a problem, for any of these people could reach down and pick up the fetus and pop it into the pouch.
That’s true. After all, these people are intelligent enough to realize that their baby is being birthed and might need assistance to reach the pouch.
I think we can assume that all the beasts have humanlike reproductive systems… otherwise Colin would have a knot. Which we have seen he does not.
Not to mention no sheathe.

I assume there are no seahorse people.
To be honest, I don’t remember seeing any anthros in this world other than mammals. Again, I could be wrong. (Probably am knowing me. LOL.)
You are wrong, There have been avians in a couple of comics.
Well, as I said, I could be wrong. LOL.

Of course, Dad’s are important too. 😛
“Daddy! Mommy gave birth to me right?”
Dad: “Yeah, but I had a hand in it.” 😁
I think he had something other than a hand in it…
sorry, English isn’t my first language, but isn’t “…have/had a hand in it” a phrase for “to be involved in something”? 🤔
Frank is not-so-subtly implying that “Daddy” had put another body part “in” to assist.
