Why do I get the distinct and horrible impression that that elementary school, at least the higher ups, are in up to their necks in this whole horrid ring? Either that, or they just like giving parents a hard way to go…not a good idea when someone actually has means to cause problems.
That is horrifying, and honestly I have no words for it. However, I just got the thought right now. How did that kid learn how to do that to Colin’s daughter? Didn’t he say that his parent(s) is a lawyer?
In a 90s era, the school system doesn’t have to be ‘in on it’ to be able to be used and abused by pedophiles, and it certainly wasn’t anywhere near up to standards on watching for and controlling the childhood distribution of materials and ‘culture’ of sex, sexuality, and rape.

Colin, I realise you’re in a hurry but driving whilst using a mobile phone is not a very good example to set the kids. And it’s probably illegal.
Colin, you better call Flora and let her know that she is about to have some visitors from the school stopping by to sit in on the interview so that she can prepare Tanya or even let the interviewers know so that they can intervene.
Any ways, you should have never done that without telling them that you need to see if it would be OK for someone to sit in on the interview. You are not thinking right at the moment.
No loved one, especially a parent, is thinking straight in these sorts of conditions. Flora will forgive him, and, while not exactly _used_ to it, the medical professionals dealing with abuse issues will understand.
I do hope Benni gets mentioned as getting there and fighting off Jestin, as that might help get some grace into the discussion about getting Benni back into schooling, especially with KPS(their version of CPS) able to exert pressure on the school.

I made that mistake too. He said his Dad *has* a lawyer.

Not in the 90s.
It may have been legal then but it wasn’t smart before it was against the law either.
NOT smart, No.
That’s why I didn’t do it, even before it was illegal.
Well… that and because I didn’t get a mobile til 2012… 🙁
Don’t worry, it’s a flip phone. 🙄

That’s exactly what he’s going to do, though. Even at that point, Flora can counsel him, but she can’t tell him what he needs to do with his child.
