Well Kaleb, looks like your therapy appointment is going to be cancelled.
I CALLED IT!!!! I did state that either Flora or Colin would interviene and get to hear Beth-Anne’s side. I am going to have to go back to see why Tanya hit Beth-Anne, was for Beth-Anne boasting how her, Jestan and friends beat up Kaleb or for something else. Either way, Tanya knows she’s in trouble.
Except that Tanya had a fight with Beth-Anne because the latter’s friends attacked Kaleb, and she didn’t do anything when he had a seizure. Not saying what Tanya did was very wise, but Beth-Anne wasn’t 100% innocent either.
Although she did the good thing of denouncing Jestan, I’m not completely sure if she will also admit her own poor decisions.
In all fairness, it was justified. Back in Table Territories, Beth-Anne and her friends deliberately shoved Kaleb off the bench he was sitting on at recess because they wanted it for themselves. He hit the ground and started seizing, and they just laughed at him until they realized something was wrong. Then they cut and run and just left him there on the ground, in the middle of his seizure while he was bleeding from his mouth. Simply because Beth-Anne is sorry for how things turned out doesn’t excuse the fact her group could’ve killed Kaleb.
By the rules of civilised conduct you don’t hit somebeast back because they hit you, because everybeast is always going to have a narrative about how they’re the side that’s actually justified. By the standards of rough justice, you do unto others as they do unto you. Somebeast slugs you, you slug her back, you don’t duct-tape her to the playground equipment and beat the tar out of her. Even setting the sexual assault aside, anybeast capable of enthusiastically participating in that level of ultraviolence is not going to be proactively, sincerely remorseful about it a day later.
Yeah, Beth-Anne is omitting details as to why Tanya hit her and what she did to Kaleb that earned her getting hit. I do think that Colin knows the reason why as he was called to the school about Tanya hitting Beth-Anne before Beth-Anne, Jestan and Co ambushed Tanya.
Beth-Anne is trying to make herself look as innocent as possible.

Yeah. Several pages ago, I also said that Beth-Anne didn’t want Jestan to take it as far as he did. I’m glad to see my statement was vindicated, too.
Yeah, I saw that
Tanya slugged Beth-Anne good for running away when Kaleb was having a seizure in the cafeteria.
I knew her punching Beth-Anne had to do with Kaleb
I completely forgot that Tanya instigated a fight with Beth-Anne. That changes a few things. For me, at least.
I can’t blame Beth-Anne for wanting some pay back for getting attacked in the bathroom. I kind of forgot that Tanya was a bully.
And I do believe that Beth-Anne didn’t think things would turn out this way.

Colin was not called to the school over Tanya.
Those events happened on the same day.
Woo, I’m all caught up on the story now!
