Ooh. I had either missed or forgot about Jestan’s being arrested. Was it for what he did to Tanya? Also, a capybara? I do believe this is the first time I’ve ever seen a capybara in a comic.
Not 100% sure if she’s genuinely one. But yeah, Jestan got arrested yesterday (comic’s storytime) for raping Tanya
Maybe you’re right. I was just going by the shape of her muzzle, her smallish ears, and the fact that she’s a rodent.
Plot twist: Mrs. Grubinfall isn’t actually pregnant, she’s just fat.
Ok, so Mrs.Grubinfall seems to actually care for Beth-Anne, that’s a good sign, though I’m curious to why she’s there alone. Unfortunately, she also seems to care about Jestan, which means she’ll probably try to find him a good lawyer when things go to trial, which won’t help things with Tanya.
Especially with Tanya’s temper. If said lawyer learns about her temper, he’ll do everything within legal limits to make her angry.
Oops. That should read, “Especially with Tanya’s temper.”
According to Jestan when Benni was applying some percussional correction, his father is a lawyer. Which may complicate things, particularly if he’s connected or has influence with that region’s constabulary and bench.
Oh, yeah, I forgot about that. He’d probably be the one representing Jestan then.
Possibly. I know in our world that could constitute a severe conflict of interest. I guess we’ll see!
What Jestan actually said was that his father has a lawyer, not that he’s one.
