Okay stupid question I know, but what part of the country are these critters supposed to be from? I never know what accent to give them when I’m reading. Do they even have an accent?
I believe the town is supposed to be in the Appalachian region. As for accents, The Lockets are originally from the city, so they’d probably lack a country accent. Flora and Kaleb don’t appear to have one either. Benni, from the way he talks, probably has a country or Southern accent and it would fit with his background.
Just going by his background and that he is described as a “swamp otter” ((Technically there’s no such thing irl)), I hear him in my mind with a slight Cajun/Creole accent.
Flora and Colin really need to talk to these kits about discretion when talking about this stuff; I know kids are often indiscreet but still. I feel like Flora will probably be having a chat with Colin about his he handled the situation Tanya mentioned and they’ll both be talking to the kits about boundaries.
