In today’s comic, Benni plays the odds.
It may not be the first thing on one’s list to do when is stuck at home alone, but you can guarantee it’s at least on the list.

I find myself concerned that the first thing Benni does is disobey Flora’s request.
It’s not that he’s doing anything *bad*… I think even Ms DeFay would agree, if she came by and found him doing that… But up til now he’s been mostly willing to listen to Flora. It could signal the beginning of more trouble with Benni.
Which, honestly, given his troubles already in life, I guess we have to expect. 😕
On the other paw, it could signal that he’s finally feeling comfortable enough with her to disobey even a little. Up until now, he’s listened out of fear of being harshly punished.
I am reminded of a series of Zits cartoons where his mother and father travel and leave Jeremy home alone, and they tell him what not to do and he does that, He ends up watching several scary movies and is too scared to want to sleep afterward.
In this case, the consequences could be infinitely worse than disturbed sleep.
But I sort-of agree with TerataNayeri. I don’t think Benni would *be* doing it all if he didn’t feel safe doing so.
I know the incident happened only a few days ago in comic, but how long is Tanya’s muzzle gonna be like that? It just makes me feel so bad for her every time I see it.
It happened literally Yesterday, comic-time.
just realized how you can see bennis bones seems like he has been starved.
It’s a pretty stark reminder how neglected and abused he was. Makes me sad and want to cook him several meals every time I see him bare boned.
Except don’t feed them to him too quickly. Benni got overstuffed when Colin fed him too many tacos at once.
