Word for the day kids. Recontextualization-Taking something from its usual context and resituating it in an unfamiliar context. … The process in which any representation changes the meaning of what it ostensibly merely re-presents by reframing it in a different context. Bennington just recontextualized his whole view on his sexual history and his concept of it moving forward. That is a lot of feelings he’s going to need to talk through. Tough road but he has a good heart little too much rage sometimes but it’s sone thing he can work with. I would recommend teaching him chess though. He… Read more »
Aww, poor Benni. It’s going to be a long road for him now after learning the truth. I think it’s going to hit him hard and he’s going to break down, after he starts thinking about it more while laying down trying to sleep tonight.
I did call Benni having a major meltdown a few days ago. His meltdown is in the process of ramping up now that he just realized what happened to him wasn’t sex, but him getting raped. And with Tanya telling him that rape is someone having sex with another against their will or getting coerced into having sex. Ray, Subak and all the other beasts who were molesting Benni, Talitha and Man knows how many other kits better start worrying and asking for plea deals. As Benni is about to spill the beans after his meltdown. One thing… I wonder… Read more »
Well, Colin’s ‘Ex’, depending on if you believe in the afterlife or not, would either already know or it’s irrelevant as she is deceased. The rest of the family, however, yeah, he _could_ let them know, but that can just cause even more troubles, which we don’t know as we know nothing about the rest of the family, except that one of Tanya’s aunts(no idea which side) taught her about periods and stuff.
Pretty sure Aunt Vixey is Colin’s sister… when he thanked her over the phone for telling Tanya about that stuff, he mentioned he wouldn’t be able to get back for a family gathering.

Hey I know flora is doing a lot of this on her own goodness but if I remember correctly she was struggling financially. I know Colin is helping I think but shouldn’t the police and other organizations help her. She is technically emergency adopting 2 kits here.
Keep in mind she’s only had Benni a few days so far, comic-time.
Talitha literally just came to her *Yesterday*, just before they went to the Hospital to get Tanya.
But yes, going by current practices in Foster care (my daughter and her husband Foster five with another on the way), The state will help her with finances, food, medical, etc.

Reality is hitting hard.
The pain of such traumas never really goes away, it just fades and we get used to it until something pokes it and we remember it all, all over again.
I really hope Tanya gives him a hug in the next comic, poor Benni:.:
They really DO need to hug. As in both of them, not simply one comforting the other.

She is confirmed to be getting financial compensation as of when she took on Benni https://www.foresthillcomic.org/comic/14d046/
