Poor Benni seems unaccustomed to all the positive attention he’s getting. Perhaps he’s anxious around Mrs. Defray out of fear he’ll be taken away from Flora and put somewhere else? Or is he picking up on the fact that Tanya is basically claiming him as her property in the presence of a new female to try and establish an alpha status?
Just the other day, I was wondering how long it’s been in-universe and so I’m glad to get an answer. But, seriously, it’s only been two months? That’s one hell of a two months.
No kidding. Then again, lately, I have been seeing two mouths are extremely long when you do nothing, and yet short when you have even the smallest somethings.

In the third panel, Mrs. Veloux looks like she’s ready to pounce and attack. That eye man, that eye 😆
Rabbits are capable of putting up a fight. I had a kitten who caught a wild rabbit and the rabbit put up a struggle. (The rabbit was rescued.)
Rabbits can be freaking *vicious*.
If you haven’t already, read ‘Watership Down’. That’s pretty much a treatise on the lives of rabbits.
Long Tom Oh yeah, I’ve seen rabbits defend themselves.
I can’t remember if I watched the entire movie, but yeah, it’s a pretty vicious thing.
Even if you’ve seen the movie, the book is worse. 😉
