I think it’s more a matter of Tanya trying to reassert some form of control over her life and circumstances after having that sense of control taken away from her by the rape. There’s really not much she can do or has any say over right now, other than how she sits or ask for help. So even though it’s small, how she sits is still her decision. Even if she’s presenting herself like a Thanksgiving turkey in the process.
IIRC Colin has a sister who apparently helps him explain more sensitive topics to Tanya, but she seems to be out of focus most of the time. He hasn’t mentioned his parents yet.
When he spoke to his sister on the phone he asked if she was going home for the holidays.
Based on my own family experience, that at least implies his parents (or one of them at least) is still alive.

Oh Flora. Good speech, but bad choice of words to real someone in. Well, good thing they both talk securely and patiently.

Poor Collin, his hands are already shaking in the second panel just from having to talk about what he saw, tame as it was. I honestly don’t envy him, and the situation he has coming. It’s going to be a long, difficult road he’s got to travel, and I’m not sure how much Flora can help him on that journey; especially if they continue living apart like they are. I don’t even want to think about what foxdad is going to be facing in the coming days as he gets Tanya back home, and has to face the new home… Read more »
I’d imagine so? I’m also not sure. There are a a lot of parellels, so probably, but this is one for Campion to answer.

I’m thinking Flora is helping Tanya in a small sneaky way.
Tanya says she wants to wear trousers but her father insists she wear skirts.
So Flora tells Colin that his little girl has tendencies to flash her vee.
Which will get Colin to insist Tanya start wearing trousers.

I think Flora may be misreading.
Tanya could just be into pushing the line. Always testing to see what she can get away with.
We’ve seen indications before that she’s like that.
It can be both. Though it’s a safe bet that Tanya’s rape might be making her act out more than usual now that she is in a safe place.

And Talitha showed that her ‘gina wasn’t just to make boys feels good, but that she could make herself feel good too.
Bunners
Is this the first time we’ve caught a glimpse of Flora’s deceased husband? I think it is.
No, I remember him being shown in an early chapter
This whole conversation must be so uncomfortable for Colin, but its for the best. At least Flora is chill about it.
Flora has her parents around and they are still together. Wonder how Colin’s family situation is?

they had sex under the photo of his deseased husband?
No, they had sex at Colin’s apartment, not Flora’s
I can assume “Until death do us part” would apply in their world as well.

See?
*ponder.jpg* I see where you’re going there…. and what a sneaky mom… I’d hate to play chess against her.
