I suspect the talk is going to be incredibly cringey and uncomfortable, both for the kids and the parents alike. Especially if Beth-Anne is still there when it happens.
As to why Tanya hid her books, I suspect there are pictures in there that are serving as a poor-kit’s substitute for more pornographic materials.

A week ago I also had to do the talk with one of the girls I babysit regularly. Wasn’t uncomfortable or weird at all. Of course, when she came to me and asked me to explain why and what exactly was happening to her body, she was red like a tomato and really embarrassed, but of course I didn’t grin or laughed.
