Wait, why does Tanya need help? Is her foot still injured? Also, I can understand why Benninis confused by choices; he’s used to just be told to do something by adults and being expected to do it.
Well she was only stabbed in the foot yesterday story-wise. She still has the stitches in and it likely still hurts to put a lot of pressure on. The bandages were only taken off so it could breathe.
Foot injuries, a deep puncture in Tanya’s case, take a little bit longer to heal due to the pressure and almost continuous flexing of the wound site. If there’s one thing I know too well it’s sutures and stab wounds…
In my mid-teens I was helping my Dad rebuild the back porch on our house. I managed to step on a 6″ building spike that went through the bottom of my sneaker, through my foot, and out the top of the sneaker.
It was three days before I could put weight on it, it kept breaking open and leaking for around a week after that, and it was still sore for close to a month.
On the plus side, doctors determined many years ago that one only needs a single tetnus shot and that it acts simmilar to childhood immunizations. Wish I’d known that about 35 years ago. Being a blademaker means I develope leaks frequently and the wife insists on being sure. 😏
Well, my previous tetanus shot was somewhere around 2nd grade… I was knocked down on the blacktop playground at school and shredded the palms of my hands and my knees (they were literally picking little rocks out of me with a tweezer)… That was around 1972.
The porch incident was 1984 and the Dr was one of those “best to be sure” guys, especially since the spike had been a bit rusty.

Has it really only been a day? I have a hard time keeping track of the passage of time.

…maybe a bullet hole or two…

Do you still experience phantom pains?
I had a nail go through my foot and for decades occasionally I still feel it.
I do, but not from that.
The one that gives me the most problems is when I get a cramp in the big toe of my left foot that I lost back in 2001. 😉
Now we’ll see if Tanya has a restful night, or if she has more nightmares keeping her up.
the fox looks like she has a beard
The fluctuation of emotions I feel from this comic strip is absolute whiplash. 😭😊
