I’m not so sure about that, even if I’m not a lawyer. A little kid cannot get a driver’s license either. Years ago there was a competition for youngest person who could fly a real airplane and that ended when a little girl got killed during such a flight.
Isn’t that the whole idea of the webcomic? That the kids are having sex because they are psychologically damaged, not because they are normal and the adults have to deal with their being damaged?
Yeah, cause there is a law that says you have to be a certain age to get a drivers license, there is no law that states you HAVE to be a certain age to have sex, just that if you are above a certain age you cant have sex with people below a certain age
I agree. I have an OC of my own, originally written to satirize furry sex stories, the idea that anthropomorphic animals are not better than human, just different. Contrary to human fantasy, they are More inhibited about sex than humans are, even if different species cannot interbreed. Also, prostitutes are just as miserable there as they are among humans. Okay I do not like that look on Benni’s face in the final panel. Does it seem like he knows the person they were brought to see, and it’s not good? Oh I really hope he’s just scared of what rumors might get spread about him, and nothing else.
My main concern for Benni RN is his reaction to “Henry”.
He puts up a brief attempt to object, then shuts down and *obeys*.
I was worried initially about him losing it and going off on the adult, but this is the other shoe dropping. The opposite reaction.
Benni’s conditioning runs so deep that he instantly goes submissive to any adult authority. It isn’t really surprising as such, but it does show the depth of how his mind has been affected.
Because Benni is submissive due to his past abuse. Tanya is trying to make sure that Benni isn’t going to be wrongfully accused, so she’s not going to run away unless Benni is running away with her.
It’s not a fake accusation… The older guy IS touching her, and was touching both her and Benni BOTH, against their will… He has grabbed BOTH their arms and has essentially taken them with him against their will… (kidnapping) The only beings touching them WITH their permission were each other… It’s true that they were engaging in activities that, under most current state laws in America, constitute what is called “child-on-child sexual abuse”, which is differentiated from normative sexual play or anatomical curiosity and exploration (e.g. “playing doctor”) because child-on-child sexual abuse is an overt and deliberate action directed at sexual stimulation,… Read more »
You stated… “He did not touch them sexually.”… …Here’s a quote from an attorney…Stephen Ross Cohen Family Law Attorney in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA “Without permission touching a minor you could be charged with battery or assault on a person. Depending on the age and nature of the touching and age difference you could be charged with a variety of abuse charges, whether the touching was sexual in nature or not. The result is that without permission, you should not touch anyone even a friend. Where they are of the opposite sex it is even more dangerous, no means no!”… Read more »
You even said it in the statement above though. “Depending on the age and nature of the touching.” In this case the nature of him touching them was to break up what he saw as an inappropriate act between two minors. Cause isn’t a cop touching someone to arrested them be counted as unwanted contact? Or when a cop arrested someone and takes them to jail… Read more »

Ok, I wasn’t expecting the racist behavior but it definitely lowers my opinion of the old dog. I forget sometimes that interspecies relations are looked down on by some people in this world. Anyway, let’s hope the clerk is more rational.
He can’t do anything legally here either; there’s no law against minors having sex with other minors, only against minors getting with adults. He is not their father, grandfather or guardian; it’s not his business what they do. Even when he told the clerk to call the police, he claimed it was because Benni “violated” Tanya, not because of their age.
It doesn’t matter what Henry’s motive was; children are not miniature adults. There is a minimum age when a person can have sex, just as there is a minimum age when you can drive a car, or buy alcohol, or cigarettes, or go to an adults-only establishment. If a child commits a crime, they are treated differently as if they were an adult.
And for the record, a lot of police informers are criminal scum themselves; nonetheless law enforcement depends on them to learn about crimes being committed.
AFAIR calling police on a couple of kids having sex, and the police determine that it was consensual, generates lectures in most cases towards all parties involved.
The thing you’re not grasping here is that there was no crime; the point of age of consent is to protect children from adults, which is why an adult who goes after a minor will end up in jail (and rightly so). Yet, you never hear about minors going to jail for having sex with other minors because again, that’s not a crime. The only crime that they could realistically be charged with is public indecency and considered their age, they’d just get a slap on the wrist. Now, obviously two minors having sex is not a good thing, especially… Read more »
I wouldn’t know because I’m not a lawyer, but even minors can’t just do anything they want. They cannot legally be employed or sign a legal contract; I doubt they could claim to have consensual sex either.
You’re right,…it DOESN’T matter what Henry’s motive was,…he’s actually committing two crimes here: assault by manhandling those kids without the parent’s permission, and kidnapping (based on federal and state law) by physically forcing them from one place to another against their will, and especially if the idea is to confine them somewhere (like that store), even if it’s to wait for the police… There are literally laws in place (in our world) to punish people for those very specific crimes, ESPECIALLY for adults doing that to kids… But when it comes to kids and sexual experimentation between them, you are… Read more »
Never mind the sex. These are little kids far away from any supervising adults. I don’t think it would be considered kidnapping for, say, taking a child away from the middle of a busy street.

I am reminded of an episode of the “Life Goes On” TV show from years ago where the father squeezes a woman who was choking on food that was lodged in her throat, saving her life. The father then is served papers, being sued by the woman for breaking her rib. At the end of the show, the father mentions that there is a “Good Samaritan” law for which most such lawsuits are thrown out of court. Henry may not be likable, but I doubt he would be prosecuted for what he had done.
In legal terms, a good Samaritan is anyone who renders aid in an emergency to an injured or ill person. Generally, if the victim is unconscious or unresponsive, a good Samaritan can help them on the grounds of implied consent. If the person is conscious and can reasonably respond, a would-be rescuer should ask permission first. This law does not apply to the circumstances of this comic as pertains to the behaviors of the fisherman with these children…
I made my point about this above but none of you seem to care to see it so I’ll just copy and paste it here. So the other person I replied to pretty much has the same stance as you about this. In this case the nature of him touching them was to break up what he saw as an inappropriate act between two minors. As racist as this guy sounds, it makes me wonder if any surviving mentions of “dog is man’s best friend” has lead to a kind of canine supremacist movement (thinking canines are the favored of Man over other species) in this world, the Kennel Klub Klan maybe? That’s an amazingly creative concept, from a story-telling standpoint! In a world where man is long-gone, but is now perceived as “god-like” by the new sentient/sapient species, it would make total sense that ancient adages like “dog is man’s best friend” could lead to supremacist diatribe and zealotry… I’m only just now getting a good feel for the way the religion in this world works, but seeing how those concepts leak out into this current anthro-society, creating the ethical dilemmas in this world, would be cool to see Campion explore and expound upon.

Actually surprised he didn’t give Benni a caning with that pole. For all his outrage, he has remarkable restraint.
And yeah, chiming in on the earlier conversation: all this guy seems to care about is the interspecies sex, not that kids are having sex in the first place.
Henry might have the wrong motive for his interference, but that doesn’t mean he had no right to intervene. And Benni knows enough to realize there was no point in his trying to run off-it failed to help him in the past.
Oooohhhh,…that’s a really tough one… Because at that point, it’s not about “rights”,…it’s about “authority”… You are not obligated by law to intervene if you saw a crime on the street but as a responsible citizen, it would be good if you could report the incident, or if the police arrive then provide a witness account of what you saw of the incident. This does not, in and of itself, provide a citizen with the “right” to intervene in what should otherwise be considered “police matters”… Because, you see, citizens, even those with police approval, do not receive the same de facto… Read more »
It’s not about any “right” to intervene, it’s about “authority”… The police actually have such authority, private citizens do not… In the past, such actions perpetrated by an individual were called “vigilantism”. This old fisherman approached the situation as if he had authority over those children, and he simply didn’t. Instead he tried to take the law into his own hands. Let me give you a brief history about why that’s a bad thing to do… Classical vigilantism dates back to frontier days of the Old West. Sorry that is a very poor comparison. If you want something more appropriate, try intervening to stop a fight, or finding minors playing with matches. And if you want a real picture of race, the reality is that it is the nonwhites who commit the most violence against each other and against whites. Sheesh, you make Patrick Buchanan look normal. You can cherry pick any data you want, but I’m nowhere near gullible enough to fall for it, and very few people are. Go play with your crayons and leave adult conversations to us adults. You’re not hot-headed, you’re empty-headed. Reality sucks dunnit?
Again, we’re at ad hominem attacks, this is not an acceptable way to have a discussion and be inside the rules of this comment section.
As said before and when you agree to the click through to even visit here; this comic covers many sensitive topics and keeping the comments civil is mandatory.
Long Tom, it has now happened across the two most recent comment threads that you have jumped into direct attacks on other commenters for essentially calling you out with direct evidence and rebuttals of your statements and claims.
Once more and there will have to be repercussions.
Like I said, I’m being bullied and you blame me. I told Jadugara that I did not believe him, and he responds by making personal attacks on me. So it’s my fault?
Do us both a favor and stop blaming me when I fight back against a bully. I’m not gaslighting but simply stating facts.
And with the police getting called, KPS will be involved. Hopefully they will understand that both Tanya and Benni were ‘exploring’ with each other due to recent and past events.
One thing is for certain is that both Benni and Tanya are losing a lot of their freedoms for a long time as well as being on the receiving end of both Flora’s and Colinn’s disappointment.

Okay, unexpected racist(speciesist?) turn. Would his reaction have been different if they were both canine?
We’ve already seen that at least one sect of the Mannist religion (Flora’s) frowns on inter-species mating. Ostensibly because different-species couples can’t produce cubs.
Not out of line with what we’ve seen thus far, tho perhaps a little more extreme example of it.
Um, they are both underage.
That’s kind of a separate issue from the “Speciesist” angle
Speciesist or not, two underage children having sex, even consensual, cannot be ignored.
sure it can, the laws specifically state that ya know having sex with a kid as an adult isnt allowed kids fucking kids is perfectly fine though there is ofcourse a concern here due to the forced nature of their sexual development, but as far as i can tell it’s just healthy experimentation and exploration, it’s up to a therapist to determine it further, not a random passerby.
I’m not so sure about that, even if I’m not a lawyer. A little kid cannot get a driver’s license either. Years ago there was a competition for youngest person who could fly a real airplane and that ended when a little girl got killed during such a flight.
You,re reading the “kids having sex” webcominc. raising up moral issues about it is about the most hypocritical thing you can do
Isn’t that the whole idea of the webcomic? That the kids are having sex because they are psychologically damaged, not because they are normal and the adults have to deal with their being damaged?
Yeah, cause there is a law that says you have to be a certain age to get a drivers license, there is no law that states you HAVE to be a certain age to have sex, just that if you are above a certain age you cant have sex with people below a certain age

Nope, the garbage you are spewing is wrong, and misguided, and utterly the narrative of conservative trash-talk… You have bought into the biggest conspiracy theory of all time,…”white supremacy”… None of what you said is “absolutely true”,…because absolutist statements like that are, by their very definition, quite often false… You said “it is the nonwhites who commit the most violence against each other and against whites”… …That is absolutely false, and I quoted direct sources that prove it so… You said “Very rarely do whites commit violence against nonwhites, and oftentimes it is self-defense.”… …That’s pure garbage, even if you ONLY… Read more »
Sheesh, you make Patrick Buchanan look normal. You can cherry pick any data you want, but I’m nowhere near gullible enough to fall for it, and very few people are. I’ve met other hothead wingnuts like you before, and there is no point telling you facts because like I said you live in fantasyland. Maybe you think all those women are lying about Bill Cosby too. Never mind that it was a fellow BLACK comedian, Hannibal Burress, who exposed his crimes to the world.
Unlike you, bubbo, I don’t live a sheltered life.
No, you don’t live a sheltered life,…you live a delusional one…one literally dripping in willful ignorance “bubbo”… You neo-conservatives do nothing BUT “cherry pick” crap and present it as truth… Your fantasy-land is something you think Trump can deliver to you, and you were on the side of literal seditious insurrectionists in the hopes of getting it… You may think I’m “hot-headed”, but what you’ve proven to be is “soft-headed”… You bring up Bill Cosby and his vile actions against women, and YET you are willing to state (in other comments on Deviant Art) that Trump brought this country “jobs,… Read more »
No, I cherry pick nothing. I tell the WHOLE truth, and when you cannot refute what I say, you resort to poo flinging. Yes, Trump did bring us jobs, peace, and prosperity, while all these allegations against Trump have been discredited time and time again. I’m not delusional or stupid, you are. Go play with your crayons and leave adult conversations to us adults. You’re not hot-headed, you’re empty-headed. Reality sucks dunnit?

Long Tom, it has now happened across the two most recent comment threads that you have jumped into direct attacks on other commenters for essentially calling you out with direct evidence and rebuttals of your statements and claims.
Once more and there will have to be repercussions.
Ah yes, blame the victim when harassed by a bully. I attacked other commentors for bullying me, not the other way around.
I know gaslighting is a super common and relied on method of bullying, but it’s not going to be accepted here.
Please recenter yourself in these discussions to avoid further attacks is all that is being asked.
Like I said, I’m being bullied and you blame me. I told Jadugara that I did not believe him, and he responds by making personal attacks on me. So it’s my fault?
Do us both a favor and stop blaming me when I fight back against a bully. I’m not gaslighting but simply stating facts.
Last chance Tom.
I think this event would likely also result in Benni being taken out of Flora’s care 😓
Oh. Racism🎉 How…fun
